So what can we do to prepare?

Buy some umbrellas in the first instance and maybe a rubber dingy for when the waves arrive, but more practical steps can be as follows:

1. Support one another. We need to manage expectations and understand that resources may not be as instantly available as they previously were for last minute demand, as available resource may be otherwise allocated and prebooked. Book and prepare early and communicate your future bookings with your partners.

2. Provide time. Allocating enough lead time to get organised, sharing resources where need be to ensure the guests are happy and stays happen in a smooth and seamless way. Ask us about any resources you may be lacking, we are always happy to help.

3. Bookings and supplies. Book services and items you think you may need in advance to ensure you have deliveries confirmed. Resource and product allocation is possible. We are able to hold items and products for you and allow you to use as and when you need.

4. Accurate information. Provide all those who need to gain access to your properties with accurate information so that service providers are not delayed In gaining entry for property preparation. 5. Down times. Utilise windows outside of the typical 11am - 3pm check out and check in windows to prepare and clean apartments. Our team is ready to service properties at times that suit you. Should you have a check out at 11am and no other check in until the next day, we are happy to attend and clean during anytime in that window. Make use of this.

6. Peace of Mind. Having all heard the stories about wild parties, red wine being spilt on white carpets and the potential challenges hosts can face due to guest negligence, take this down time to look into how you can protect your team and clients. The last two quarters of 2021 may indeed allow our sector to take the first steps towards recovery and a return to our rightful volumes of business, missed since March last year.

The pandemic has been a life lesson for us all. Business as we once knew it has had to adapt in every aspect to ensure we see this phase in all our journeys through.
